So I was having a bit of a rough night on Tuesday. I’d been up late working on several blog posts for Gen X Chronicle, including a special 10th anniversary Copper’s Corner and a post about trading cannabis stocks.
It was now 3:19 am, and I just wanted to chill out. So I popped on the Roku, went to YouTube, and pulled up the video for “Cyclone” by Baby Bash. Baby Bash is a Mexican-American rapper who does a lot of party songs, and Cyclone was released in 2009.
The interesting thing about this video is that it takes place in a strip club. Yup, it’s unabashedly a skin video. And let me just say right off the bat, the women in it are beautiful and I absolutely love the video. The song has a hypnotic beat, and the featured woman is a light-skinned Latina who wears a bikini, contorts her hips and body in unfathomable positions, and generally makes a man want to kill or be killed in order to get with this woman. She’s that hot.
There are also other dancers in the club, including a trio of black women in neon skin-tight outfits who are super hot themselves. And there’s also a light-skinned black woman with glasses who wears tight blue pants and a red top. She’s super dope.
Everyone is just chilling out in the strip club, having a good time. The dudes, or customers, are mostly hardcore-looking black and Hispanic guys. But the environment is anything from hardcore. It’s one big party, with the women shaking their asses and the men observing in appreciation.
The chorus of the song captures the mood perfectly, and really says all you need to know:
She moves her body like a cyclone
And she makes me want to do it all night long
Going hard when they put the spotlights on
Because she moves her body like a cyclone
Just like a cyclone
I mean, what else do I need to say? It’s just a really chill, energetic celebration of the female body. Good times are had by all. So the song really relaxes me, and helps me forget about the stresses of my day blogging and doing social media.
I decided to pop on one more Baby Bash song, since he’s so dope, and it’s another favorite of mine, “Suga, Suga.” In this video, Baby Bash and his cousin get stuck in traffic while riding in their souped-up sports car, and so they pop on the TV screen on the dashboard.
All of a sudden a super-fly UPS or postal delivery girl appears and walks down the street they’re driving on. She’s wearing a brown UPS outfit, but the catch is it’s like a bikini, with a tight top and even tighter crotch-hugging shorts. She’s another light-skinned Latina, and she has an incredible body, just incredible. Baby Bash and his cousin dig on her for a while from the front seat of their car.
Then a few minutes later Baby Bash and his cousin are chilling on a brownstone stoop, and a procession of hot women of all races in short shorts walk by. The fellas stare, they smile, and they generally just relax and cool out the way men do when they’re looking at stunningly beautiful women. I mean, it just take your breath away, and that’s what happened to these dudes.
But they also rap, and the lyrics tell the story of the ethos of this song:
So tight, so fly
You got me lifted, you got me lifted
You got me lifted shifted higher than a ceiling
And ooh wee it’s the ultimate feeling
You got me lifted feeling so gifted
Suga how you get so fly?
And those two versus really nail it. Because whatever troubles Baby Bash and his cuz might be having, the women in this video just lift them up and make them feel good. Which is what a beautiful woman can do for any man.
There’s one more verse that I really liked:
Now I ain’t worried about a thing cause I just hit me a lick
I got a fat sack and a super fly chick and uh uh
Baby is letting us know he’s got a fat sack of cash, and a dope chick to boot, so what else does he need? And really isn’t that what it all comes down to for a lot of men? Not all men, and money and women aren’t all there is to life. But they’re a big part, and Baby Bash nails it with these lines.
The song finishes, and I sit down to write this post. I’m now thoroughly chilled out, and I feel as relaxed as can be. I saw some beautiful women, and heard some good music, and I have Baby Bash to thank for that.
The rest of the evening is still in front of me. Maybe I’ll watch more videos, or listen to music on the Google Home. But whatever I do, I’ll be chilled out. So thank you Baby Bash for making my late-night evening, and keep doing what you do. You make the world a better place.
